- In a small bowl, combine warm milk with active dry yeast and let it sit for about 5 to 10 minutes until frothy.
- In another bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, and salt. Gradually mix in the yeast mixture, butter, eggs, and vanilla until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic. Place in a greased bowl and let rise covered for 1 to 2 hours.
- Once risen, punch the dough down, roll it out to 1/2 inch thick, and cut circles. Let them rise again for 30 minutes.
