  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Orange Extract Optional; can substitute with vanilla extract
For Dipping
  • 8 ounces Dark or Semi-Sweet Chocolate White chocolate is an alternative

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. In a food processor, pulse together granulated sugar and orange zest until a moist mixture forms.
  2. Add orange sugar blend, flour, butter, salt, and orange extract. Process until dough forms; divide, wrap, and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
  3. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  4. Slice the chilled logs into ½-inch pieces and bake for 10-12 minutes until golden brown on the edges.
  5. Cool cookies on a wire rack, then dip halfway in melted chocolate and let set on parchment.
