Equipment

  • mixing bowl
  • Skillet
  • baking sheet
  • air fryer

Method

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, cottage cheese, egg, panko breadcrumbs, minced garlic, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Fold together until just combined.
  2. With wet hands, divide the mixture into 6 equal portions and shape each into a patty about ½ inch thick.
  3. Preheat your cooking surface. For pan-frying, heat olive oil in a skillet. For baking, preheat your oven to 400°F. If air frying, set it to 375°F.
  4. For pan-frying, cook patties for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden. If baking, arrange patties on a sheet and bake for 18-20 minutes, flipping halfway. For air frying, cook for 12-14 minutes, turning halfway through.
  5. Transfer the patties to a plate and let them rest for 5 minutes to allow juices to redistribute.
  6. Serve warm on their own, in buns, wraps, or atop a salad with your favorite sauces.
