Ingredients

  • 12 pieces Jumbo Pasta Shells or large conchiglie
  • 15 ounces Ricotta Cheese can substitute with low-fat cottage cheese
  • 1 cup Shredded Mozzarella provolone can be used
  • ½ cup Grated Parmesan Cheese adjust to taste
  • 1 large Egg can be omitted
  • 2 tablespoons Dried Parsley fresh parsley can be used
For the Meat Sauce
  • ½ pound Ground Beef can substitute with ground turkey or chicken
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil can use vegetable or canola oil
  • 1 medium Onion (chopped) shallots can be used
  • 2 cloves Garlic (minced) preferably fresh
  • 24 ounces Pasta Sauce homemade or high-quality jarred

Method
 

Step‑By‑Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and spray a 9x13-inch baking dish with cooking spray.
  2. Bring salted water to a boil and cook the jumbo pasta shells for about 9-11 minutes until al dente; drain and cool.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet, sauté chopped onion and minced garlic for 3 minutes until fragrant.
  4. Add ground beef, cook until browned (5-7 minutes), then mix in the pasta sauce and simmer for 5 minutes.
  5. In a bowl, combine ricotta cheese, beaten egg, shredded mozzarella, grated parmesan, and dried parsley until well mixed.
  6. Spread ⅓ of the meat sauce in the baking dish, fill each shell with cheese mixture, and arrange them in the dish.
  7. Pour remaining meat sauce over shells, spreading evenly.
  8. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes.
  9. Remove foil, sprinkle remaining mozzarella on top, and bake uncovered for 5-10 minutes until cheese is melted and golden.
