Cooking Steps
  1. Cook pasta in a large pot of salted boiling water for 8-10 minutes; reserve ½ cup pasta water before draining.
  2. Sauté seasoned chicken in a skillet with olive oil for 5-7 minutes until golden brown; remove and set aside.
  3. Cook mushrooms in the same skillet for 3-4 minutes until browned and tender.
  4. Stir in minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
  5. Deglaze the pan with Marsala wine and simmer for 2 minutes.
  6. Add chicken broth, heavy cream, and Italian seasoning; simmer for 3-4 minutes to thicken.
  7. Return the chicken to the skillet, mixing well. Stir in reserved pasta water if needed.
  8. Toss cooked pasta with the sauce in the skillet for 1-2 minutes to combine thoroughly.
  9. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper; plate the dish.
  10. Garnish with fresh parsley and Parmesan cheese before serving.
