Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a medium skillet, heat a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil over medium-high heat. Once the oil is shimmering, add the frozen Sea Cuisine Garlic & Herb Tilapia fillets. Sear for about 5 minutes on each side, until they are golden brown and easily flake with a fork. Remove the tilapia from the skillet and set aside.
  2. In the same skillet, add a little more olive oil if needed, then toss in minced garlic cloves. Sauté over medium heat for about 1–2 minutes, until fragrant and just starting to brown. Stir in the dried herbs and seasonings, creating an aromatic base for your Creamy Lemon Garlic Herb Tilapia sauce.
  3. Slowly pour in the full-fat coconut cream or milk along with vegetable or seafood stock and freshly-squeezed lemon juice. If using, add the white cooking wine for added depth. Stir well, allowing the mixture to cook for about 1–2 minutes until it begins to bubble gently, creating a creamy sauce.
  4. In a small bowl, mix cornstarch with a splash of water until smooth. Gradually whisk this mixture into the bubbling sauce, stirring continuously. Keep cooking for another 1–2 minutes, or until the sauce thickens to your desired consistency.
  5. Stir in the chopped kale and thinly sliced lemon for a vibrant boost of flavor and color. Allow the mixture to simmer for 2–3 minutes, letting the kale soften slightly while absorbing the delicious sauce.
  6. Return the seared tilapia to the skillet, nestling it into the creamy sauce to envelop it fully. Lower the heat and let everything simmer together for an additional 5–10 minutes before serving.
