For the Sauce Base
  • 2 jars Marinara Sauce Use two jars for deeper flavor.

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Brown the ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat for 6-8 minutes until browned. Drain excess fat and set aside.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, sour cream, and ricotta. Add Italian seasoning and garlic powder, blending until smooth.
  3. Spread half a jar of marinara sauce at the bottom of the slow cooker. Layer with half of the uncooked bowtie pasta.
  4. Pour the remaining marinara sauce over the pasta and add half the water. Stir gently.
  5. Layer half of the cooked ground beef over the sauce and pasta, followed by dolloping the creamy mixture on top.
  6. Repeat layering with remaining bowtie pasta, marinara, and water, followed by the rest of the ground beef.
  7. Cover and cook on low for about 2.5 hours, checking pasta doneness.
  8. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella on top and cook for an additional 20 minutes until cheese is melted.
