Step‑by‑Step Instructions for Creamy Sausage Rigatoni
  1. In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat. Allow the oil to shimmer for about 1 minute.
  2. Add 8 ounces of crumbled Italian sausage to the skillet. Cook for about 5–7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until browned and cooked through.
  3. Stir in 3 minced garlic cloves and 2 teaspoons of Italian seasoning into the skillet with the sausage. Sauté for 1 minute.
  4. Add 12 ounces of uncooked rigatoni, 3 cups of chicken broth, 1 cup of heavy cream, and 1 cup of tomato sauce. Stir well.
  5. Increase heat to high until boiling, then cover and reduce heat to medium-low. Let simmer for 10–15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the rigatoni is al dente.
  6. Once the pasta is cooked, gently stir in 4 cups of spinach until wilted, around 2-3 minutes.
  7. Season with salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes to taste. Serve hot.
