  • 2 tablespoons Fresh Thyme Use dried thyme (1/3 the amount) if preferred.

  • 1/2 cup Parmesan Cheese (optional) Nutritional yeast can be used for a dairy-free option.

Method
 

Cooking Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease your baking dish generously with olive oil or butter.
  2. Using a mandoline slicer, slice the Yukon Gold potatoes into 1/8-inch rounds.
  3. In a mixing bowl, whisk together balsamic vinegar, olive oil, minced garlic, fresh thyme, salt, and black pepper.
  4. Layer the sliced potatoes in your greased baking dish, brushing each layer with the balsamic mixture.
  5. Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 45 minutes.
  6. Carefully remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes to crisp the top layer.
  7. Let the torte sit for 5 to 10 minutes before slicing.
