  • baking sheet
  • Parchment paper
  • air fryer

Method

Preparation and Cooking
  1. Begin by draining and pressing the extra-firm tofu for at least 10 minutes to remove excess moisture.
  2. Tear the tofu into uneven chunks to increase surface area.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the extra virgin olive oil, coconut aminos, apple cider vinegar, Cajun seasoning, smoked paprika, garlic powder, ground black pepper, and maple syrup.
  4. Whisk the ingredients together until well-blended.
  5. Add the torn tofu chunks to the marinade and gently toss until well-coated. Marinate for 10-15 minutes.
  6. For baking, preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Bake for 30 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  7. For air frying, arrange the tofu in a single layer and air fry at 375°F (190°C) for about 15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway.
  8. For skillet cooking, heat 1-2 tbsp of oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and cook the marinated tofu for approximately 7 minutes, flipping occasionally.
  9. Once cooked, transfer your crispy Cajun tofu bites to a serving dish.
  10. Serve them warm with your favorite dipping sauces.
