Preparation
- Add frozen meatballs to the slow cooker, evenly distributing them for optimal cooking.
- Pour marinara sauce over the meatballs and sprinkle garlic powder and Italian seasoning on top. Stir gently to combine.
- Cover and set the slow cooker to LOW for 6–7 hours or HIGH for 3–4 hours.
- About 10 minutes before serving, preheat your oven to broil. Butter the insides of the rolls and place them face-up on a baking sheet. Toast under the broiler for 2-3 minutes until golden brown.
- Assemble by filling each hoagie roll with 4–5 meatballs and a spoonful of marinara sauce. Top generously with shredded mozzarella.
- Return the assembled subs to the broiler for 2-3 minutes, watching closely until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Sprinkle with chopped parsley if desired and serve hot.
