Step‑by‑Step Instructions
  1. Trim excess fat from the chicken. Cut into bite-sized pieces if desired. Place the chicken at the bottom of the crockpot.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together teriyaki sauce, soy sauce, honey, minced garlic, and fresh ginger. Set aside.
  3. Pour the mixed sauce over the chicken and ensure it is well-coated.
  4. Layer bell peppers and broccoli on top of the chicken.
  5. Cover and cook on low for 4 to 6 hours or high for 2 to 3 hours.
  6. Check that the chicken has reached an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
  7. For a thicker sauce, simmer the sauce in a small saucepan until thickened, then return chicken and veggies.
  8. Serve the mixture over cooked rice or noodles.
  9. Garnish with sesame seeds and sliced green onions before serving.
