Ingredients
  

For the Sweet Chili Sauce
  • 1 cup Sweet Chili Sauce
  • 2 tbsp Water Use extra for thinner glaze
  • 1 tbsp Gochujang Substitute with sriracha for milder heat
  • 2 tbsp Tomato Ketchup Can replace with hoisin sauce
  • 1 tbsp Sesame Oil Can swap with canola oil
  • 2 tbsp Sugar Adjust to taste
  • 1 tbsp Rice Vinegar White vinegar is a suitable substitute
For the Tofu Balls
  • 14 oz Tofu Firm tofu is best
  • 2 cloves Garlic
  • 1 tbsp Oil For sautéing
  • 2 tbsp Chopped Green Onions/Scallions Optional garnish
For Serving
  • 2 cups Steamed Rice Can replace with noodles or quinoa
  • 1 tbsp Sesame Seeds Omit for nut-free version

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine sweet chili sauce, water, gochujang, tomato ketchup, sesame oil, sugar, and rice vinegar. Whisk until smooth and set aside.
  2. Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Pour in the sweet chili sauce mixture and bring to a gentle simmer for 3-5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Carefully add air-fried tofu balls to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce. Cook for 1-2 additional minutes.
  5. Transfer coated Sweet Chili Tofu Balls to a serving platter. Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds, then serve hot.
