Baking Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 200°F (93°C) and line the baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Whip egg whites in a clean mixing bowl until frothy, about 2-3 minutes.
- Gradually add the granulated sugar, one tablespoon at a time, and continue beating for 5-7 minutes until glossy with stiff peaks.
- Fold in the powdered sugar, peppermint extract, and red food coloring until just marbled.
- Pipe small swirls or dollops onto the prepared sheets, spaced 1-2 inches apart.
- Bake for 1.5 to 2 hours until dry and crisp. Let cool in the oven with the door ajar for about 1 hour.
