  • 1 tsp Onion Powder Optional; sauté some onions for a fresher kick.
Cheeses
  • 2 cups Shredded Mozzarella Cheese Consider replacing it with provolone for a different flavor.
  • 1 cup Grated Parmesan Cheese Pecorino Romano is a worthy substitute.
Garnish

Method
 

Cooking Steps
  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  2. Combine the uncooked penne pasta, marinara sauce, and water or beef broth in the baking dish. Add frozen meatballs and seasoning, stirring well.
  3. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 35-40 minutes until the pasta is tender.
  4. Remove the foil and add the shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan cheese on top.
  5. Bake uncovered for an additional 10-15 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  6. Let the casserole rest for 5-10 minutes before serving, optionally garnish with parsley.
