Toppings
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened shredded coconut Use sweetened coconut for extra sweetness if preferred.
  • 1/4 cup chopped almonds Substitute with walnuts or pecans if allergic to almonds.
  • optional dairy-free chocolate chips Use melted dark chocolate for richer experience.

Method
 

Prepare the Oats
  1. In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together rolled oats, unsweetened non-dairy milk, chia seeds, canned coconut milk, unsweetened cocoa powder, and pure maple syrup until well mixed.
  2. Transfer the mixture into a sealable container and secure the lid tightly.
  3. Place in the refrigerator for at least 3 hours or overnight.
Serve
  1. Remove from the fridge, stir gently, and top with shredded coconut and chopped almonds.
  2. Optional: Drizzle with melted dairy-free chocolate chips.
