Step-by-Step Instructions
- Begin by gently removing the silken tofu from its packaging, being careful not to break it. Place the tofu on a paper towel and use another towel to soak up any excess liquid, which takes about a minute.
- Once the tofu is prepped, take a serving plate and carefully invert it over the tofu block. With a steady hand, flip both plate and tofu together, letting the tofu settle gently onto the plate.
- In a small mixing bowl, combine the soy sauce, sugar or honey, and sesame oil. Add the minced garlic and gochugaru. Stir until the mixture is smooth.
- Drizzle the sauce evenly over the silken tofu. Heat gently in the microwave for about 30 seconds if desired. Garnish with toasted sesame seeds and green onions.
- Serve immediately as a light appetizer or side dish.
