- Boil the Pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil, add pasta, and cook according to package instructions until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Reserve ¾ cup of pasta water, then drain.
- Sauté the Garlic: In a skillet, melt butter over low heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes. Do not brown the garlic.
- Combine Pasta and Sauce: Add drained pasta to skillet and toss with garlic butter. Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and well-coated.
- Adjust the Consistency: Gradually add reserved pasta water until the desired sauce consistency is reached. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
- Serve and Garnish: Serve immediately, garnishing with additional grated Parmesan and chopped parsley as desired.
