  • 1 tablespoon Oyster Sauce Or vegetarian oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Japanese Mayo Regular mayo is an alternative
  • 1 teaspoon Corn Starch To thicken the glaze

  • 1 tablespoon Honey For extra sweetness
  • 1 tablespoon Soy Sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Ginger For additional zing
  • 2 tablespoons Water To adjust consistency

Method
 

Steps
  1. Cut fresh or thawed salmon into bite-sized pieces and combine honey, grated ginger, soy sauce, oyster sauce, Japanese mayo, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Toss salmon in the marinade and let it rest for 20 minutes.
  2. Preheat the air fryer to 380°F (190°C). Prepare the air fryer basket with parchment paper or cooking oil.
  3. Arrange the marinated salmon bites in a single layer in the basket. Cook for 12 minutes, flipping halfway through until golden brown and crispy.
  4. For the optional honey glaze, combine soy sauce, honey, ginger, and water in a saucepan over medium-high heat. Simmer for 2-3 minutes, then whisk in corn starch to thicken.
  5. Remove cooked salmon bites from the air fryer and drizzle with honey glaze if using. Serve with steamed rice or vegetable stir-fry.
