Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking pan with unsalted butter.

  3. Add the whole egg and egg yolk; mix until fully incorporated.
  4. Gradually sift in the icing sugar and mix until fully combined.
  5. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  6. Fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
  7. Gently fold in the chopped pecans until evenly distributed.
