  • 2-3 tablespoons maple syrup Adjust to taste; agave or cane sugar can work.
For the Freshness
  • ¼ cup freshly squeezed lemon juice Adjust based on desired tanginess.
Optional Garnishes
  • 1 cup sliced strawberries For an additional fruity flavor.
  • 1 cup lemon slices For garnish.
  • 1 cup fresh mint leaves Adds a refreshing touch.

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Bring 2 cups of water to a rolling boil, then remove from heat. Add 2 hibiscus tea bags or 2 tablespoons of dried hibiscus flowers and steep for 5-7 minutes.
  2. Remove the tea bags or strain out the flowers and allow the tea to cool to room temperature for about 10-15 minutes.
  3. Wash and slice the strawberries, then blend them until smooth to create a puree.
  4. In a pitcher, combine the cooled hibiscus tea, strawberry puree, lemon juice, and maple syrup. Stir gently.
  5. Taste and adjust sweetness or tartness if needed.
  6. Serve over ice, garnished with sliced strawberries, lemon wedges, and mint leaves.
