Preparation Steps
- In a heavy-bottom saucepan, pour in 4 cups of whole milk and place it over medium heat. Stir gently as it warms for approximately 5–7 minutes, until steam rises but the milk is not boiling.
- Once the milk is warm, reduce the heat to low. Add 1 cup of finely chopped white chocolate and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. Stir continuously for about 3–4 minutes until smooth and creamy.
- Remove the saucepan from the heat. Carefully ladle the hot chocolate into mugs, filling each about three-quarters full.
- Garnish with whipped cream atop each mug. Add sprinkles, chocolate shavings, or a drizzle of chocolate syrup for an extra touch.
