For the Sauce
  • 1 cup Pineapple Juice fresh juice is ideal, but canned works too
  • 1/2 cup Teriyaki Sauce choose a low-sodium version if desired
  • 1/4 cup Honey or use maple syrup for a unique touch
  • 1 tablespoon Soy Sauce gluten-free soy sauce is a great alternative
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced, fresh preferred
  • 1 tablespoon Ginger fresh grated is best
  • 1/2 teaspoon Black Pepper adjust to taste

Method
 

Preparation and Baking
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Arrange the chicken wings in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 25 minutes.
  3. While the wings bake, mix pineapple juice, teriyaki sauce, honey, soy sauce, garlic, ginger, and black pepper in a bowl.
  4. After 25 minutes, flip the wings and brush with the sauce mixture.
  5. Return to the oven and bake for an additional 15 minutes, optionally broiling for 2-3 minutes for extra crispiness.
  6. Remove from the oven and garnish with sesame seeds and cilantro; serve with reserved sauce for dipping.
