For Serving

Equipment

  • Medium saucepan
  • Fine-mesh sieve
  • pitcher

Method

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Begin by boiling 2 cups of water in a medium saucepan. Once boiling, remove it from heat and add 2 black tea bags. Allow the tea to steep for about 10 minutes.
  2. While the tea is steeping, take 2 cups of diced ripe mango and place them in another saucepan with 2 cups of water. Bring this mixture to a gentle boil and then reduce the heat to simmer for 10 minutes.
  3. Carefully strain the mashed mango mixture through a fine mesh sieve into the pitcher with the brewed tea, pressing down on the solids to extract all the puree.
  4. Add honey to taste, starting with about 2 tablespoons. Stir the mixture well until the honey dissolves completely.
  5. Let the Mango Iced Tea cool at room temperature for about 10–15 minutes, then fill glasses with ice and pour the chilled tea over the ice.
