Step-by-Step Instructions
- Begin by boiling 2 cups of water in a medium saucepan. Once boiling, remove it from heat and add 2 black tea bags. Allow the tea to steep for about 10 minutes.
- While the tea is steeping, take 2 cups of diced ripe mango and place them in another saucepan with 2 cups of water. Bring this mixture to a gentle boil and then reduce the heat to simmer for 10 minutes.
- Carefully strain the mashed mango mixture through a fine mesh sieve into the pitcher with the brewed tea, pressing down on the solids to extract all the puree.
- Add honey to taste, starting with about 2 tablespoons. Stir the mixture well until the honey dissolves completely.
- Let the Mango Iced Tea cool at room temperature for about 10–15 minutes, then fill glasses with ice and pour the chilled tea over the ice.
