  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar white sugar can be used as an alternative
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon or nutmeg/pumpkin spice
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract optional but recommended

  • 1/2 cup pecans or walnuts, can be skipped for nut-free
  • Greek yogurt optional, for added creaminess

Method
 

Instructions
  1. In a medium mixing bowl, add rolled oats and milk. Stir gently until oats are fully submerged and let mixture rest for a minute.
  2. Add maple syrup, brown sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla extract. Stir well until sweeteners are dissolved and spices are evenly distributed.
  3. Divide the oat mixture into airtight serving containers. Seal and refrigerate for at least 6 hours or overnight.
  4. Preheat oven to 350°F. Spread nuts on a baking sheet and bake for 7-10 minutes until golden and fragrant.
  5. Sprinkle toasted nuts over the overnight oats before serving. Add Greek yogurt if desired.
