  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce No substitute recommended.
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder Adjust if using fresh garlic.
  • 1 tsp Onion Powder Can substitute with finely chopped onions.
  • 1 tsp Smoked Paprika Sweet or regular paprika may be used.
  • 4 slices Bacon Strips Turkey bacon can be used for a lighter version.
  • 6 slices Cheddar Cheese Slices Consider alternatives like Swiss or pepper jack.
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Black Pepper

Equipment

  • Grill
  • Skillet
  • mixing bowl
  • Meat thermometer

Method

Preparation Steps
  1. In a large bowl, add the ground beef, panko breadcrumbs, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Gently mix these ingredients with your hands until just combined.
  2. Divide the mixture into 6 equal portions, rolling each portion into a ball, then flattening it to create a patty.
  3. In a skillet over medium heat, fry the bacon strips until they are crispy and golden, about 5-7 minutes. Transfer to paper towel and chop.
  4. Heat your grill to medium-high, aiming for a temperature around 375°F to 400°F. Lightly oil the grates.
  5. Place the patties directly on the grates. Grill for 4-5 minutes before flipping.
  6. After flipping, grill for an additional 3-4 minutes, topping each patty with cheddar cheese and chopped bacon in the last 2 minutes.
  7. Once cooked, remove the patties from the grill and let them rest for 2-3 minutes.
