For the Agua Fresca
  • 1 medium Pineapple fresh, chopped into bite-sized chunks
  • 2 cups Strawberries fresh, hulled and halved
  • 1 tablespoon Lime Juice freshly squeezed
  • 2 tablespoons Agave Nectar adjust to taste
Optional Garnishes
  • 1 handful Mint Leaves for garnish
  • 1 cup Ice Cubes for serving

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Wash the fresh strawberries thoroughly under cool running water. Remove the stems and slice them in half.
  2. Peel and chop the fresh pineapple into bite-sized chunks, eliminating any tough core pieces.
  3. In a blender, combine the chopped pineapple and halved strawberries. Squeeze in the juice of a fresh lime and add agave nectar. Blend on high for 30 seconds until smooth.
  4. Place a fine sieve over a large pitcher and pour the blended mixture into it, pressing down to extract the juice.
  5. Chill in the refrigerator for about 10 minutes, or serve immediately over a glass filled with ice cubes. Garnish with fresh mint leaves if desired.
  6. Pour into glasses, adjust sweetness with extra agave nectar if needed, and stir well before serving.
