Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Begin by cutting the beef stew meat into bite-sized pieces and halving the baby potatoes.
  2. (Optional) Parboil the halved baby potatoes in salted boiling water for 2-3 minutes until slightly softened.
  3. In a large skillet, heat olive oil and sear the beef pieces for about 5-7 minutes until browned.
  4. In a mixing bowl, combine melted unsalted butter with minced garlic and the remaining sauce ingredients.
  5. In your slow cooker, layer parboiled potatoes and seared beef, then pour the garlic butter sauce on top.
  6. Add beef broth to keep the dish moist and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
