For the Beef Mixture
  • 1 lb Ground Beef 85-90% lean for juiciness
  • 1 medium Yellow Onion finely chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 tsp Salt adjust to taste
  • 14.5 oz Fire-Roasted Diced Tomatoes undrained
  • 1 tbsp Better Than Bouillon Beef Stock or vegetable stock
  • 2 tbsp Tomato Paste optional
  • 1 tsp Cumin can be reduced or omitted
  • 1 tsp Smoked Paprika or sweet paprika
For the Cabbage
  • 1 small Green Cabbage chopped

Method
 

Cooking Steps
  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef and cook for 5–7 minutes, breaking it apart until browned.
  2. Push the browned beef to one side and sauté the chopped onion and minced garlic on the other side for 3–5 minutes until soft.
  3. Stir in the fire-roasted diced tomatoes with their juices and simmer for a couple of minutes.
  4. Add the Better Than Bouillon beef stock, tomato paste, cumin, smoked paprika, and salt. Let simmer for 5 minutes.
  5. Stir in the chopped cabbage and cook for 15–20 minutes until tender.
