Step-by-Step Instructions for Kimchi Bulgogi Cheesesteak
- Slice beef sirloin into thin strips, no more than a quarter inch thick. Chop onions and bell peppers into similar-sized pieces. Gather all ingredients.
- In a large bowl, combine soy sauce, sesame oil, minced garlic, and sugar. Mix until sugar dissolves. Add sliced beef, coat well, and marinate for at least 15 minutes.
- Heat a tablespoon of oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add sliced onions and bell peppers. Sauté for about 5 minutes until tender and caramelized.
- Push sautéed vegetables to one side, add marinated beef to the skillet and cook for around 5 minutes until browned and cooked through.
- Introduce chopped kimchi to the skillet and stir everything together for about 2 minutes.
- Preheat broiler. Spoon bulgogi mixture into toasted hoagie rolls. Top with slices of cheese, then broil for about 2 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Remove from oven and serve immediately, optionally drizzling with soy sauce.
