Ingredients
  

For the Chicken
  • 1 pound Chicken Breasts Can substitute with boneless skinless thighs
  • 1 cup Chicken Broth Use vegetable broth for a vegetarian version
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 2 teaspoons Dried Oregano
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Paprika Adjust to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Salt Adjust to personal preference
  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper Adjust to personal preference
For the Vegetables
  • 1 medium Yellow Onion Thinly sliced
  • 3 cloves Garlic Minced
  • 1 cup Tomatoes Diced
  • 1 cup Cucumbers Sliced
  • 1/2 medium Red Onions Sliced
For Serving
  • 1 cup Tzatziki Sauce Homemade preferred
  • 4 pieces Pita Bread Warm before using

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Thinly slice the yellow onion and scatter it at the bottom of the slow cooker.
  2. In a small bowl, mix minced garlic, chicken broth, olive oil, oregano, paprika, salt, and pepper until well blended.
  3. Place chicken breasts on top of the onions and pour the seasoning mixture over them.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
  5. Once cooked, remove chicken, shred it with forks, and mix with remaining juices in the slow cooker.
  6. Warm pita bread and fill with shredded chicken, tzatziki sauce, tomatoes, cucumbers, and red onions.
