Preparation Steps
- Slice a fresh French baguette in half, then cut it lengthwise.
- Spread a thin layer of butter evenly on each cut side of the baguette.
- Generously spread fig jam on both halves of the baguette.
- Place 5-6 thin slices of Granny Smith apples on the bottom half.
- Add 3-4 slices of prosciutto on top of the apple layers.
- Place 3-4 thick slices of brie cheese over the prosciutto.
- Sprinkle a pinch of salt and pepper over the brie.
- Carefully place the top half of the baguette over the fillings.
- Grill the sandwich in a panini press or skillet for 2-3 minutes.
- Once cooked, let the sandwich rest for a minute, then slice.
