For Thickening
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch For achieving perfect sauce consistency
  • 2 tablespoons water To mix with cornstarch for slurry

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Place the chicken breasts in the bottom of the slow cooker in a single layer.
  2. In a medium mixing bowl, combine pineapple juice, brown sugar, soy sauce, crushed pineapple, minced garlic, ginger, salt, and pepper; whisk until well blended.
  3. Pour the sauce mixture evenly over the chicken breasts.
  4. Cover slow cooker and cook on low for 6-7 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
  5. Carefully remove the chicken from the slow cooker and let it rest on a cutting board.
  6. Whisk together cornstarch and water to create a slurry, then add it to the sauce in the slow cooker.
  7. Return the chicken to the sauce and let it sit on warm for an additional 10-15 minutes.
  8. Serve over rice or noodles, garnished with sliced green onions and sesame seeds.
