- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9-inch round cake pan with non-stick spray or softened butter.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together 1/4 cup of softened butter, 1/4 cup of granulated sugar, and 1/4 cup of dark brown sugar until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
- Incorporate 2 large eggs one at a time into the creamed mixture, then stir in 1/4 teaspoon of vanilla extract.
